This one kicks off with a bad wi-fi day for JD, as she searches for a signal, and finds it in her Jeep outside of her condo building. Denise shares one of her dearest friends with JD, as they welcome Katie Hall to the show. Katie discusses her latest project "Hear Us Out", a virtual & audio concept that shares some of the older LGBTQ community member's stories from all over. Katie also has a short story and poem due out in 2021. Denise tells JD about some of their history. The girls also discuss some of their favorite sitcoms from days gone by.  You can follow The Whiskey Rock Lounge on Facebook by clicking HERE. and Katie's project is at HEAR US OUT

As Autumn hits its peak, Denise talks about the weather in London and JD celebrates the Florida temps dipping below 80 degrees. Denise's drink choice is a fiery ginger liquer with a rich history called "The King's Ginger". JD enjoys a Maple Knob Creek whiskey, pretending it's colder outside than it really is. The ladies discuss reinventing yourself, and tell the stories behind each of theirs. The Time Machine topic this week is 80's movie soundtracks, which sends them down a great path of oldie hits that never die.

Welcome to episode 63 of the Lesbian Book Club with Clare Lydon as she interviews US author Melissa Lenhardt. A lifelong Texan, Melissa writes women’s fiction, mystery, and historical fiction. She’s just released “The Secret Of You And Me”, her first foray into lesbian romance - and also the first lesbian romance published by Mills & Boon. Melissa talks about her writing career, how she came to write her first queer romance, and how she hopes it’s the first of many taken on by her publisher. Also, she has a way-cool southern accent which Clare neglected to tell her!

Clare also does a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK, which this month is terribly literary with authors like Emma Donoghue, Sophie Ward and Bernardine Evaristo. Welcome to episode 61 of the Lesbian Book Club with Clare Lydon as she interviews US author KD Williamson. KD is famed for her cops n docs series starting with “Blurred Lines”, and her latest book “Big Girl Pill” has been lighting up the lesfic charts of late. Her books are cops and docs, wrapped in romance, wrapped in humour. Plus, they’re snarky and the characters are real. We chat writing secondary characters, diversity in lesbian fiction and KD’s very funny writing style. She says: “I don’t write books just about two main characters falling in love. I don’t write sanitized fiction. If you want books that are light, cute and nobody swears, that’s great. But I’m not that writer.”

Clare also does a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK. Her new book, One Golden Summer, a co-write with TB Markinson, is out now! If you’d like to get a free lesbian romance from Clare, head to www.clarelydon.co.uk/it-had-to-be-you and sign up for her VIP Readers’ Club!

Welcome to episode 59 of the Lesbian Book Club with Clare Lydon as she interviews US author Karin Kallmaker, the queen of lesbian romance. Karin needs no introduction, having written over 30 novels and countless short stories, including the classic “Painted Moon” and her latest, “Because I Said So.” She talks about the inspirational power of Wonder Woman, writing the perfect sex scene, and how she owes Katherine V Forrest so much: “Without her guidance, I wouldn’t be writing books 30 years later.” Find her at: https://kallmaker.com/

Clare also does a run-down of the Amazon Lesbian Fiction charts in the US & UK. Her new book, “Before You Say I Do” is getting rave reviews, and she’s already cracking on with her next book, a co-write with TB Markinson due out in June. In audiobook news, “A Taste Of Love” is also available now, so March was an exciting month.
